#FOCUS|From EPC to K-Developer 🏗️
The global construction market is entering a new phase. As demand grows for AI infrastructure, data centers, semiconductor facilities, nuclear power, and smart cities, overseas construction is moving beyond traditional EPC(Engineering, Procurement & Construction) contracting toward more technology-intensive and high-value projects. For Korean construction companies, this shift presents an opportunity to build on their proven construction capabilities while expanding into new areas of business development and investment.
A key trend is the growing importance of investment development projects, in which companies participate throughout the project lifecycle-from identifying opportunities and planning to financing, construction and operation. This is driving a shift from simply building projects to creating and developing them. Against this backdrop, the concept of the "K-Developer" is gaining attention, combining Korea's strengths in construction and project execution with capabilities in development, financing, technology, and operation.
New opportunities are emerging across regions and industries, from Middle Eastern infrastructure and post-conflict reconstruction to urban development, energy transition, AI infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing facilities. Korea's overseas construction industry is already showing renewed momentum, with Korean companies securing $47.27 billion in overseas construction orders in 2025, the highest annual figure since 2014.
The next chapter of overseas construction will be about more than simply building faster or securing more contracts. By connecting construction expertise with technology, finance, and development capabilities, Korean companies can create greater value across the entire project lifecycle-and take the next step toward becoming K-Developers.

#SPECIAL|Highly Advanced EPEG-Based PCE 🌍
As concrete construction continues to evolve, the need for advanced chemical admixtures is growing, particularly for solutions that deliver both high water-reducing performance and stable slump retention. These capabilities are becoming increasingly important in demanding construction environments, where consistent concrete performance is essential. Against this backdrop, highly advanced EPEG-based PCE (Polycarboxylate Ether) is gaining attention for its enhanced water-reducing performance and slump retention. Developed last year, SILKROAD C&T's EPEG-based PCE has already been supplied to overseas customers, demonstrating improved performance compared with conventional products.
Construction conditions vary widely depending on climate, materials, and application requirements, making it essential to develop solutions tailored to each environment. SILKROAD C&T has therefore developed a range of customized admixture solutions, including hybrid formulations for different customer requirements. The company also supplies specialized products that maintain slump over extended periods, helping ensure optimal performance during transportation and delivery even in extreme heat.
SILKROAD C&T was the first company in Korea to develop EPEG-based PCE, and the technology has received extensive coverage from multiple media outlets. The company has since transitioned all its PCE products it supplies to the Korean market to EPEG-based PCE and has successfully supplied these products to most of its overseas customers. The technology has also been showcased at global conferences and exhibitions, including PCE 2025 and SOCAC 2026, where live demonstrations introduced its performance to industry professionals from around the world.
As construction environments become increasingly diverse and performance requirements continue to rise, advanced admixture technology is playing a growing role in the future of concrete. SILKROAD C&T remains committed to providing innovative, high-quality products and solutions and contributing to the success of its partners' projects around the world. |

#TREND|The Rise of the Quiet Lifestyle 🍲🍻
Endless notifications, overstimulating content, and a business environment that keeps us connected 24/7-We are living in an era of unprecedented sensory overload. As a reaction to this constant stimulation, one of the lifestyle trends gaining the most attention is the "Quiet Lifestyle," which focuses on tuning out external noise and finding inner peace.
More than just a passing trend, this lifestyle is becoming a way to navigate modern life with greater intention. From the "Text Hip" movement, which encourages people to put down their smartphones and reconnect with the tactile experience of reading physical books, to dopamine detoxes that limit digital devices and create mental space, and meditation routines that embrace the calm of early mornings, people are finding new ways to restore their focus and peace of mind. Rather than constantly chasing the next dopamine hit, the goal is to reclaim a sense of calm and concentration through moments of genuine stillness.
The same principle applies to our living spaces. A truly cozy and peaceful environment can only be created when high-performance soundproofing and insulation materials effectively block out external noise and harsh temperature changes. Perhaps our daily lives also need a sturdy form of "inner soundproofing"-something that helps keep unncessary stimulation at bay.
This weekend, why not put your constantly buzzing smartphone aside for a while and experience the quiet, powerful energy that stillness has to offer?
